Meet By Adushka's Chief Story Teller - Tsitaliya

By Arianna Cini

Tsitaliya Mircheva-Petrova is a fashion journalist, who started her career back in her home country Bulgaria. She's written countless articles for fashion magazines, made reportages for TV and Radio and today is a freelance writer and content manager in fashion and lifestyle brands.

Beside working for others, Tsitaliya started her own media attracting a community of fashionable mothers proudly calling themselves: "Mums in Heels" . The intention behind her blog and YouTube channel is to encourage women to be independent thinkers, to give them the power back to take informed decisions in order to set and live by their own rules, striving to be their best version.

Her media celebrates female wisdom, charisma and leadership and Tsitaliya as she likes to say "strives to to leave their own footprint and change the world one heel at the time".

One year ago, on a sunny Sunday afternoon, By Adushka founder Karin Kämpf invited Tsitaliya for tea and they seem to share a lot of common ideas and values. Today Tsitaliya is working as By Adushka chief story teller and content editor and of course she is one of our style ambassadors.

We asked Tsitaliya to share her favourite styles this season:

"As some of you may know, if you follow me on Instagram, I am a big fan of Physique du Role. I find their aesthetic really interesting, artistic and a little edgy. It’s not conventional and that’s exactly what I love about it. I’ve invested in several pieces already. For example their brandy Vichy Caro duster and cinched skirt. Ever since I live in Switzerland with the cooler climate I find that I need a lot of light coats for spring, summer and autumn. Last year I’ve literally sneaked one fo the velvet green Obidi Coats from our collection, plus now the duster which I can wear all summer long over my linen dresses and white jeans. Another must have summer outfit is the butter white blazer and trousers. I think every woman in business needs a summer suit in white or beige. Such quality and classic colours can last forever. They have no expiration date or can never look outdated.
Then a summer dress - how can even Summer begin without a new summer dress! This year I am completely in love with the new at By Adushka brand: Injiri! You need to touch and feel their fabrics. For the many years I’ve worked in fashion I’ve never seen such textile. Yes, it is handloom and yes, it is made in India by a tribe of women I recently read about, and I remember thinking: I must have one of these dresses in my wardrobe! It is almost like a privilege to be able to own such a dress, plus it feels great to know that you re supporting such craft and such brand!
I am someone who likes oversized clothes and volume. Now a lot of people think oversized means no shape. You can’t be more wrong! If the design is right the dress can give you an amazing architectural look! The reason why I like oversize and volume is that I strive for freedom in everything I do. Usually, I am very busy and my days are all planned and very well organised by the minute, so this freedom in what I wear is essential for me. I need to feel free in the way I move, I need to feel connected with who I am and my femininity! There are clothes that enhance this connection!
Finally I love wearing poetic pieces and I believe in such times, many women crave to add some more poetry and soul into tier every day life. I find that Momoni for example has several pieces that feel very poetic, pieces that reflect today’s strong need for spirituality. I would say the Mandala Dress is a great investment!
Let’s not forget Belle Ikat, whose kimono dress and slippers I adore! Such pieces transport me to Marocco, Zanzibar, or somewhere in the Orient and I keep thinking that I can’t leave for my next holiday without these summer essentials in my suitcase!"
