Dechen Shak

Dechen Shak-Dagsay is a Swiss-Tibetan singer and book author who has lived in Switzerland since her childhood and uses her music to convey the Buddhist wisdom teachings of her culture. She is the eldest daughter of the venerable Dagsay Rinpoche, a Tibetan Lama, who gave her the transmissions of the precious Tibetan mantras that she sings all over the world. Dechen's music represents inner peace, love, compassion, reconciliation and peace. Her music is not only appreciated by her audience, but also by artists from all over the world with whom she has had the privilege to collaborate.

The albums Jewel and Day Tomorrow brought Dechen and her ensemble to Carnegie Hall N.Y. Thanks to the success of her music, she was able to found the Dewa Che Association to support numerous important social projects in Tibet. We couldn't be happier to have this strong woman on board the ByAdushka community and to see her wearing our unique garments makes us very proud indeed, follow us to keep up to date with Dechen's concert dates!
