The dress is made with a large amount of hand-craft, particularly, the Richelieu embroidery technique which involves a precise and laborious hand-cutting process: one sleeve of the dress takes approximately eight hours of hand-cutting, and a lavishly decorated hemline can take a couple of days. In addition, the sleeves and collar of the dress are hand-decorated with 24-carat gilded beads.
