Catherine Tisseuil, designer of the 16ème sud brand, is constantly looking for antiques, especially in antique markets, to give life to new creations. In this matchbox, the designer saw an envelope, hence the name 'Love Message' - thus associating the jewel with a message to be addressed to someone you love. "Jewelry is always close to feeling" - explains Catherine - that's the reason why she put the silhouette of a smile, the brand's logo, inside the necklace, but she invites you to decide what you want to put inside. 

The twine used to make the necklace's string is waste material; in fact, the designer relies on warehouses that deal in discarded materials. We would like to emphasise that all 16ème sud jewellery is made using existing materials, which is why we talk about upcycling.
