Sounds great, right? On the surface, this seems like a positive development, but upon closer inspection, there's a pretty significant catch. The buzzword "sustainable," when used to describe a specific clothing item, doesn't really mean anything. There is no standardized definition or guideline for what makes a garment sustainable. Any brand can use the term to market clothing as environmentally friendly, even though it may not be much better than an item without that label.
In the search for honest and truly sustainable products, there's nothing left but to personally know the designers and build a lasting and close relationship with them. In my meticulous search for genuine and authentic designers committed to both good style and the protection of nature and people, I came across designer Sandra Chagnaud and her brand Happy Haus.
Happy Haus is a 100% eco-conscious brand dedicated to our planet — a commitment confirmed by the following labels:
We are thrilled to announce the arrival of Happy Haus's latest models! Explore how we style them and discover versatile combinations. The ideal companions include our meticulously crafted Cowboy Boots from Shiloh Heritage and our ByAdushka Liberty Blouses, adding a romantic touch to your ensemble.
]]>Cowboy boots are back and becoming a must-have in the shoe closet. In this blog, we'll show you the best styling tips and the most beautiful models to shop for!
But How did these riding boots make their way onto the runways of renowned fashion houses, and where do they originate from? As always, we took our time in selecting you an authentic premium product with a lot of love and authenticity. Shiloh Heritage's cowboy boots have been handcrafted by a family in Mexico for 120 years.
Even though cowboy boots have been more prevalent only since the last few years and are being worn extensively, they are not a new star in the fashion scene. Their origins trace back to the 17th century when Western boots first emerged in the USA after the Civil War. Former soldiers, now forced to earn a living as cattle drivers, needed a shoe suitable for the job, distinct from the no longer suitable military equipment.
In the 19th century, the first cowboy boots evolved from the existing work boot, further developed by the Hyer brothers. In the following century, many cowboys rode through the savannas and onto the Hollywood Western screens - so it's no coincidence that not only boots but also cowboy hats, belts, and leather vests became increasingly popular among Wild West heroes.
The V-shaped shafts of cowboy boots were and still are often adorned with intricate embossing, stitching patterns, and appliqués. Modern designs draw inspiration from iconic Western boots but work with a variety of interpretations, featuring flat, medium, and high heels, colors, prints, appliqués, patterns, and materials. Here, we present to you the most beautiful cowboy boots and provide the best styling tips to combine them.
If you enjoy wearing dresses or skirts and want to combine them with cowboy boots, mini or midi-length dresses are perfect for you. Summery midi dresses or a maxi denim skirt can be styled perfectly with the medium to high shaft of the boots, creating a casual Western outfit. Light, summery fabrics with cowboy boots emit a Boho style and can also be styled perfectly as a festival outfit.
Cowboy boots can be styled with various types of pants and complement different cuts. For example, close-fitting skinny jeans or straight-cut pants pair best with cowboy boots with a high, wide shaft. Flared pants, bootcut pants, or culottes, on the other hand, go well with cowboy boots with a low shaft or Western-style ankle boots. Wide-leg pants, in turn, match well with tall, wide boots - depending on your look, you can choose the style you prefer.
You can also combine cowboy boots with a chic office outfit. How? Opt for a pair of Western boots or cowboy boots with a low shaft and a low to medium heel. Choose a simple color, a pantsuit, a simple dress, a skirt with a blouse or a wool sweater, or wide or A-line-cut pants that you pair with a blouse or a simple top with a blazer with shoulder pads. Et voilá!
To cleverly combine cowboy boots with jeans, avoid a leather hat or the classic red scarf, which might remind you of Lucky Luke or Woody. Instead, choose jeans that are either so closely cut that you can tuck them into your boot leg or so wide that the waist and leg harmoniously blend into each other. Pair this with simple basics like a white t-shirt, a hoodie, or a short leather jacket - for a denim-on-denim look, choose an oversized denim jacket with appliqués or patches. To combine cowboy boots and denim, choose models in black, sand, or camel.
Contrary to the assumption that cowboy boots are more suitable for autumn, you can actually wear them all year round - even in summer. Western boots pair particularly well with light summer dresses, skirts, shorts, and even with light fabrics like linen or silk. So, for example, opt for an elegant, long slip dress or a playful floral dress that you can combine with cowboy boots with a high shaft for an exciting style clash.
Cowboy boots are the perfect footwear for autumn and winter - thanks to their high shaft, they keep you wonderfully warm and look great at the same time. For a suitable autumn look with cowboy boots, you can pair them perfectly with dark denim, straight-cut pants, and an oversized jacket. But they also look great with a skirt and blazer. Pairing cowboy boots with a maxi dress creates an exciting yet harmonious look. Colors like black, metallic, or brown are ideal for autumn.
Cowboy boots don't fit every festive occasion or party. As a wedding guest or at a company event, you might want to opt for a different type of footwear. If you still want to wear your favorite pair of cowboy boots to a party, we recommend saving them for drinks with friends in a bar, a festival, a romantic dinner, or a night out at a club. Here, styles can be a bit more extravagant. Cowboy boots create an exciting contrast when combined with an elegant outfit made of shiny fabrics like silk or adorned with rhinestones. Here's how: Style, for example, a slip dress or a slip skirt with cowboy boots with a high shaft and a blazer. For a style clash and a cohesive party outfit, you can also combine a lace dress or top or a high-quality wool sweater with a leather skirt or pants and cowboy boots.
The history of cowboy boots continues to this day: the popular Western-style shoes have not only been seen on the runways of major fashion brands such as Bottega Veneta, Isabel Marant, and Ganni since last year but have literally found their way into the wardrobes of many personalities. Emily Ratajkowski and Kendall Jenner are setting the example.
In 2024, the trend shoe scores not only with its cool, casual vibe but also with its versatility - numerous street-style looks prove not only that Western boots can be combined equally well with a delicate slip dress and a crochet dress but also that cowboy boots are absolutely modern in 2024.
Even though classic cowboy boots have reached their peak in the past, they are currently experiencing a fashionable revival. Western boots are available today in various designs. You can find our favorites for women right here on ByAdushka:
Whether black, grey, blue, made of velvet, tweed, cotton, or linen with checks, pinstripes, mottled, or textured patterns: the blazer comes in countless variations.
Our models share one thing in common; they are all timeless and sustainably produced in limited quantities. Elleremodelista's blazers are crafted from the finest Italian vintage men's jackets and expertly curated, disassembled, and finished with new inspiration in the 'Laboratorio' in the heart of the historic city of Pietrasanta by designer Laura di Ciregia. Every detail is reimagined during this process.
Here are our top styling tips, from oversized blazers to short ones!
Comfortable and on-trend for several seasons, oversized-cut models are suitable for a business casual look in the office but also fit well into everyday styles due to their relaxed cut. To perfect the oversized blazer look, pair it with slim pants, a dress, or a narrow skirt to balance your silhouette. Match it with a simple shirt or t-shirt. To add a personal touch to your outfit, incorporate statement accessories like your favorite vintage sunglasses, velvet cowboy boots, or a trendy base cap like our Lola Hats model.
A fitted blazer is currently at the forefront of our fashion radar. Instead, round off your outfit with belts featuring special details or handwoven belts with an ethnic look from Guanabana.
As a much shorter alternative to the oversized blazer, cropped blazers are currently making appearances in our Instagram feed. Cropped blazers work beautifully in spring and summer, paired with boot-cut jeans, as a light jacket over a satin dress, or with short skirts, contrasting long, tight maxi skirt variations.
A cool blazer doesn't always have to be black or grey! Instead, try adding some color. Vibrant colors are the perfect way to wear your blazer in a dopamine dressing style. Whether in yellow, pink, lime green, or pastel blue, bright colors make your look lively and bring positive vibes. To combine a bold blazer, choose a simple straight regular jeans from Happy Haus or pair it with pants in the same color to create a suit look. Want to try color-blocking or prefer a bit of understatement? Then pair the blazer with neutral, calm pieces in a different shade, like a neutral bag or sand-colored cowboy boots.
The contrast between the boxy form of a blazer and the light femininity of a skirt creates a cool style clash. The look works well because each piece stands on its own yet complements the other. Pleated or flowing skirts made of mesh materials or trendy denim skirts with a slit go well with blazers.
Pair it with a maxi skirt from Litkovska and high heels to visually elongate your legs. A simple t-shirt or blouse ensures that the blazer and skirt take center stage. With such an outfit, you are perfectly dressed from a relaxed brunch to a formal party.
Want to make your blazer winter-ready? Then go for the layered look! It works either in a more elegant Scandi style by effortlessly draping or knotting a cashmere sweater in a natural color from ByAdushka over your shoulders or tying it once across your shoulder and waist. Alternatively, you can go for a cooler style clash with a thick hoodie under the blazer. The look becomes winter-ready, especially with a Litkovska black blazer or a dark blue blazer.
When it comes to blazers, one pattern is particularly trendy: checkered! Patterned blazers are especially nice in early autumn and serve as a chic alternative to a jacket. We'll show you how to wear this piece with style: pair it with flowing silk pants in a contrasting color, a soft blouse, and add a cap and statement earrings.
The patchwork look popularized by Harry Styles and brands like Christian Dior and Bode is exactly what we love now. Mixing and matching different fabrics and materials is making a comeback.
Wear your patchwork blazer over jeans and a tank top for a casual look, or pair it with an elegant silk blouse for an interesting mix. A true wearable piece of art.
In general, blazers look most stylish when worn open, unless it's a blazer dress. The blazer looks casual and stylish when draped over the shoulders, following the fashion motto of "I just threw it on." An absolute power combination is wearing the blazer as a two-piece with matching pants, either with long pants as a suit or with shorts as a co-ord. Style clashes with the androgynous blazer always look great, whether with a romantic ruffled blouse or tight skinny jeans. Feeling warm? Then opt for a sleeveless top and bike shorts or shorts. Or do it like Ashley Park (known from Emily in Paris) and pair her sporty Skechers sneakers, in the no-pants trend, with an elegant blazer. It creates a pretty cool outfit. The key is to always experiment with what looks best on you; not every outfit looks the same on everyone.
]]>As people embraced digital interactions during lockdown, they discovered the importance of changing their location within their homes and altering their appearance. A polished top and a touch of makeup became essential, transforming the mundane kitchen table into an inspiring workspace.
Did you know that, on average, individuals make around 35,000 daily decisions? Among these, the choice of attire stands out, as it influences us for roughly 12 hours a day and silently conveys our identity to countless onlookers.
Handcrafted, ethically made garments, infused with positive emotions, hold the power to affect our mood throughout the day. Think of that cherished sweater lovingly knitted by your grandmother; it radiated warmth and affection every time you wore it.
Our clothing serves as a non-verbal medium for expressing facets of our personality. A floral pattern may hint at a sensitive, romantic side, while bold attire signifies extroversion. Colors, textures, and styles evoke associations, enabling us to communicate our values and attitudes. High-quality clothing often reflects our values and self-identity, projecting strength and credibility.
Our outward appearance significantly influences our inner emotions. Adorned in romantic floral patterns, we might find ourselves feeling more romantically inclined throughout the day. While clothing alone can't guarantee happiness, it empowers us to consciously enhance self-confidence and overall well-being. Our clothing has the power to shape our mood, self-awareness, and even our health. A staggering 96% of women attest to the impact of their clothing choices on their confidence levels.
Consider the case of a doctor who constantly experienced a foul mood. It was discovered that she had been wearing the same pajamas for three consecutive days. She was advised to switch to something yellow, a color scientifically proven to uplift mood. Yellow may not cure depression, but it can foster positivity. Consistently wearing the same attire can emit a vortex of negative emotions, as our external appearance mirrors our inner feelings.
Experts have termed this phenomenon "dopamine dressing." It entails consciously selecting clothing that evokes happiness, uplifts mood, boosts confidence, and enhances one's sense of capability. The hormone dopamine is released in the brain, reinforcing the connection between clothing and emotional well-being.
Fashion, over the centuries, has undergone a remarkable transformation. Women, once confined within their homes, had little use for coats or outdoor attire. The evolution of clothing styles symbolized not only gender equality but also women's progress towards self-expression, independence, and empowerment.
Today, most women have the freedom to craft their unique, gender-independent styles. Through fashion, they express their qualities, individuality, courage, sophistication, and dreams. It's a journey of self-discovery and empowerment, allowing them to embrace their strength of character while celebrating their individuality.
Female empowerment and sustainability are the cornerstones of ByAdushka. We believe in empowering women around the world to express their creativity in fashion.

]]>Step 1: Seek Inspiration (The Fashionista's Quest)
The first step in your style journey is seeking inspiration. Ask yourself, "What inspires me?" Is it your neighbor's chic outfits, your favorite actress's red carpet looks, or perhaps that Instagram influencer with the impeccable fashion sense? Take a cue from the world around you, whether it's the streets of Zurich or the pages of a fashion magazine. Remember, you can draw inspiration from anywhere and anyone – even fictional characters!
Step 2: Create a Trendy Mood Board
Get creative by building your very own mood board. Whether you prefer a digital Pinterest board or a classic physical one, this visual representaion of your style goals will keep you on track. Instagram bookmarks can be your secret weapon for collecting and copying fresh outfit ideas.
Step 3: Embrace Your Silhouette
Understanding your body shape is essential to crafting your unique style. Take some photos in different poses or have an honest look in the mirror. Your silhouette is your best guide, so trust it! Clothes should highlight your curves and make you feel comfortable. Pay attention to proportions to create the illusion of height.
Step 4: Discover Your Fashion Preferences
Now that you have your mood board and body shape figured out, it's time to identify what you truly love. Is it skirts or pants? Feminine silhouettes or oversized, androgynous styles? Focus on shapes and lines rather than specific brands. Don't forget to consider the things you don't like; it's all part of the process. Quality is key, reflecting your standards and sustainability values.
Step 5: Find Your Color Palette
Fashion isn't just about shapes; it's about colors too. Explore what colors suit you best. Stand in front of a mirror and test different shades – the ones that make you glow are keepers. Every piece you own in your perfect color becomes a timeless classic.
Step 6: Align with Your Lifestyle
Your style should be a reflection of your lifestyle and personality. Ensure it's not only a personal statement but also practical. Will your style work at your job? Does it fit your daily life? Don't hesitate to mix pieces from different aspects of your life to create unique looks.
Step 7: Take Inventory of Your Wardrobe
Before going on a shopping spree, take stock of your current wardrobe. Make sure you have a favorite version of essential items, such as jeans, a little black dress, a maxi dress, various bottoms, striped tees, white blouses, cardigans, and outerwear for every season. These are your fashion building blocks.
Step 8: Learn from Your Fashion Missteps
Analyze your past fashion mistakes and learn from them. Why didn't certain outfits work? Was it the wrong size, color, or pattern? identifying your fashion pitfalls is crucial for growth.
Step 9: Add Signature Pieces
Elevate your style with a few signature pieces that make you stand out. These special items exude confidence, taste, and individuality. Think iconic sunglasses, tailored suits, or timeless classics like a tweed jacket.
Step 10: Invest in Timeless Pieces
A successful style is one you'll love for years to come. Invest in timeless pieces that won't go out of fashion. Think of fashion icons who stick to their signature looks. It's not a uniform; it's a style statement.
Step 11: Keep the Fun in Fashion
Lastly, remember that fashion should be fun! Don't be afraid to experiment with patterns, textures, accessories, and shoes. Your style is a reflection of you, so enjoy the journey. Be proud of your unique look and embrace your individuality.
In just 11 easy steps, you can embark on a style journey that will not only transform your wardrobe but also boost your confidence. Your unique style is waiting to be discovered – so start today!
]]>Ulala's store is a tribute to the elegance of bygone eras. Each vintage kimono holds a unique story, a tangible connection to the past. With a focus on timeless beauty, her collection embraces the cultural significance of these garments. In a world that's always changing, Kyoto Vintage Warehouse stands as a sanctuary for those who cherish the artistry and heritage of the vintage kimono.
Translating to "thing to wear", the Kimono is a traditional Japanese garment that has a history of over 1000 years. Generally, it is worn left over right and tied with a belt called an "obi." Over the course of time, there have been various ways of wearing kimonos. From the early days until the 1970s, kimonos were the daily wear, evolving afterward into garments reserved for ceremonial events. Yet, in more recent times, they've enjoyed a revival, finding favor as casual wear among the younger generation.
Every kimono is crafted from rolls of fabric, typically extending beyond 12 meters in length. These fabric rolls undergo a transformation, being meticulously cut into eight rectangular pieces using a zero-waste pattern. These segments are then skillfully joined to construct the kimono. The cuts are designed to be linear, ensuring not a scrap of fabric is squandered. To achieve different sizes, the fabric is adeptly folded during the intricate stitching process.
Kimonos have adorned individuals across extended eras, often undergoing transformations through resizing, re-dyeing, and re-tailoring. This adaptability hinges on the fundamental ability to conveniently unravel and disassemble kimonos. This is precisely why every kimono is meticulously hand-sewn, ensuring that the mere tug of a thread permits effortless unstitching, facilitating these modifications with graceful ease.
Given silk's remarkable endurance of around a century, a single kimono can gracefully attire up to three successive generations. Even as a kimono gradually aged beyond wearability, its fabric found renewed purpose in crafting cushion covers, bedding, bags, diapers, and even cleaning cloths. Eventually, when the fabric reached its final phase of wear, it was repurposed as fuel and fertilizer through burning. In old Japan, the ethos of recycling prevailed, where every element found purpose in being used and reused.
Take pride in wearing these traditional garments and let us continue to celebrate and preserve the beauty and cultural significance they hold. Stay curious and embrace this tradition with grace and pride, as you embark on your very own kimono journey.
I'll take you there,

Contrary to popular belief, the origin of the choker dates back to the Mesopotamian, Sumerians, and ancient Egypt civilizations, roughly between 2500 and 3000 BC. During these times, chokers held a special significance as symbols of protection. These civilizations believed that by adorning their neck, wrists, and head, they would be protected from bad energy and evil while still looking attractive.
During the French Revolution young women sported red ribbon chokers as a tribute to the fallen. Fashion historian Daniel Delis Hill explains that the Brits, harboring longstanding animosity towards the French, used these red chokers as taunts and they gained popularity during this time as a symbol of distain towards the French struggles. Portraits of Anne Boleyn, the Queen of England (1507-1536) however, depict her wearing chokers in several images long before the French Revolution. In contrast to the chokers being worn as the symbol of oppression, during the Victorian era (1837-1901), chokers were proudly flaunted by royalty. Queen Alexandra of Denmark was also known for wearing, what people of that time would call the ‘dog collar necklace’. Rumor has it that although she wore chockers, it was simply to conceal a scar from thyroid surgery, making the chocker both an aesthetic and practical piece to wear.
At this time chokers were associated with wealth, and came in lavish jewelry boxes, which very few people at that time could afford. Afterwards different choker styles were adopted and worn by people of all classes. Women started attaching broaches to pieces of velvet ribbon and as mass production flourished during the Second Industrial Revolution, affordable versions became widespread.
During the 1970s, chokers experienced a major comeback, this time challenging gender norms. Icons of rock such as Mick Jagger, David Bowie and Jimi Hendrix, renowned for their boundary pushing and androgynous styles, embraced chokers as a form of self-expression.
By the ‘90s another resurgence of the choker arrives with a different angle and meaning. Instead of the diamond-dripping art deco versions, which were modestly common in the 20th century, a new aesthetic emerged – one infused with grunge and angst. Women gravitated towards fabric or velvet chokers adorned with metal clasps or trinkets, channeling a punk vibe reminiscent of 1970s London. Some chokers even incorporated padlocks, metal chains and dog collars. The simplicity of a black ribbon held rebellious or emotional connotations, symbolizing vulnerability through the exposed neck.
Possibly the most famous chocker of the modern era was the renowned creation for Diana Princess of Wales. An exquisite piece combined a sapphire and diamond brooch on a short necklace of seven strands of pearls, gifted to her by the Queen mother Elizabeth herself. Diana gained widespread attention when she wore this dancing with John Travolta at the White House in 1985 and also chose to wear it again in 1994 to accessorize her famous ‘revenge dress’.
The many facetted choker endures an appeal of expression that transcends time. This neck accessory continues to captivate with its rich history and diverse interpretations. However, one thing remains clear: The choker is, up until this day, an iconic piece that holds a timeless place in the world of fashion.
Recently, a trend that combines the choker and the corsage has been gaining popularity across various fashion scenes. Traditionally the corsage is worn on a dress or a wrist for formal occasions. The practice of pinning flowers to clothing symbolizes good luck and protection against evil spirits during weddings.
For many, the corsage holds sentimental value, serving as a cherished keepsake, which evokes memories of past formal evenings. However this fresh new take on the corsage as a choker, means you can wear it for any occasion, making it the perfect accompaniment for any outfit.

Each piece is designed to inspire customers to cherish what they wear by making mindful choices which contribute towards a more sustainable future. Made by the MSG team, each piece is infused with a passion for cultural heritage and unity while empowering, inspiring, and protecting those who choose to wear them.
The new ‘Migration Collection’ is no exception- a capsule collection which emerged embodying freedom and peace in the wake of the Ukrainian war.
The MSG team along with millions of women and children felt forced to leave their homeland in search of safety. The collection is a poignant tribute to the journey of these refugees, poetically linking the experiences of women and children leaving Ukraine to the migratory journeys of birds. Just as migrating birds seek protection from harsh winters and sustenance in different lands, they too yearn for safety and nourishment in foreign territories while cherishing the desire to return to their place of origin.
The wild horse motif represents freedom and hope, while combined motifs of peace and freedom reflect the brand’s aspirations for Ukraine and the world. The collection draws inspiration from the enigmatic painting of the British artist Sophie Wake, whose raw sentiment is perfectly aligned with MSG’s intentions for this collection.
Sophie Wake is a contemporary artist based in Ashburn, Devon, UK. She has cultivated her creative journey through diverse experiences in different artistic and design methods. After her BA in Graphic Design and Illustration, she worked as a freelance illustrator. Sophie’s artistic path eventually led her to embrace the transformative power of meditation and the ancient ritual of tree tea ceremonies, influencing her artistic process. She delves into imagination in quiet moments of contemplation, drawing inspiration through somatic experiences. Her influences are from Shamanism, African rock art, ancient clay models and Greek pottery and celebrates the essence of basic human emotions in simple and authentic forms.
The entire ‘Poppy & Daisy’ collection stands for high quality and the pieces are made 100% with Tana Lawn™ cotton fabric, which dates back to the late 1890s when Liberty began experimenting with cotton lawn, known for its softness and durability. The sisters’ vision has since blossomed into a vibrant community of free, creative spirits, that continues to grow. Romualda embraces ancestral techniques and honors the purity of materials to craft exquisite products, which evoke lasting emotions.
The inspiration for the name ‘Romualda’ was drawn from an encounter with a Dutch artist the sisters had as children during a family trip to the Rodalquilar desert in southern Spain. The artist, named Romalda made sculptures from sticks, shells and stones, as well as her captivating murals depicting nature’s wonders. These impressions along with her deep respect for life and nature, left an indelible mark on the young Cristina and Mariana, inspiring them to take on a project that cherishes the world we inhabit.
The sisters creative journey together began with hand painted hat, reflecting their desire to create unique and timeless pieces. Made from ethically grown cotton and in collaboration with local milliners in Asturias, Spain, Romualda’s first sun and bucket hats were born. With an artistic approach, Cristina brings these pieces to life painting on intricate designs ranging from ombré and marble swirls to abstract tie-dye patterns.
The Aguirre sisters pour their hearts into each piece created. They dedicate between a week and a half to three weeks to produce these unique pieces. Their dream is for their clients’ daughters and granddaughters to continue to pass their pieces on for years to come.
Cristina and Mariana Aguirre form a prefect tandem, with Cristina managing the artistic aspects, while Mariana oversees the design elements. Christina, with a background in Fine Arts, draws from various artistic disciplines, infusing the creations in Romualda.
Meanwhile Mariana, brings a wealth of knowledge and aesthetic background in product design to the brand. The sisters give credit to their creative mother, who instilled in them a deep appreciation for unique and artistic jewellery. They believe growing up in an artistic environment has nurtured their ability to view fashion pieces as a work of art.
The sisters’ work exudes an aura of mystery and intellectuality, with carefully curated aesthetics that blend seamlessly with their sustainable and artisanal production process. Their inspirations range from the work of Francis Bacon to the lamps of Ingo Maurer, not to mention the sculptures of Louise Bourgeios. Romualda embodies transparency in both materials and clothing, ensuring that every piece tells a beautiful story.
Romualda is a perfect fashion company to set an example of creating products that transcend the fleeting trends and fads. They strive to make their hats desirable cherished heirlooms that can be passed down from generation to generation. Head over to check out this Spanish brands' latest creations.

India is home to an exceptional array of handwoven fabrics, boasting a myriad of styles, colors, textures and distinct features, unique to the specific region where they are grown and spun. Injiri collaborates closely with skilled weavers, immersing themselves in the textile abundance India provides. Like most handcrafts in India, particularly textiles, have unique codes linking them geographically to their origin.
Impressed by the explorations of regional techniques Chinar Farooqui founded Injiri in 2009. She is devoted to the making of garments in a slow process that allows the maker to complete each piece in peace. Her approach is to embrace the creative design process without following trends, but as a journey of exploring different textiles and techniques. Chinar’s love language design is drawn from learning and studying ethnic traditions. This has resonated across the world, resulting in Injiri winning a EDIDA textile award in 2016.
Injiri is a textile-focused brand consistently showing a true appreciation for the Indian Jamdani craft. Their new spring/summer collection «RASĀ» introduces all of this and much more.
The «RASĀ» collection is inspired by the Rasā theory, an ancient Indian framework for analyzing and experiencing the emotional content of artistic works, like classical Indian dance, music or theater. It proposes nine fundamental emotional states called «rasās» which are evoked by different sensory experiences. Rasā’s literal translation means «nectar» or «essence» and is an Indian concept of aesthetic flavor, emphasizing the importance in conveying an emotional state to an audience and the audience’s ability to emotionally engage.
This collection was designed for the spring/summer season and features handcrafted textiles that conjure up a sense of joy, playfulness and vibrancy. The «RASĀ» collection showcases ancient block print techniques, traditionally used as a textile printing method for costumes and often found in the theater. This collection features an array of different Jamdani motifs in playful bold colors.
Showcase the details on your Injiri outfit: The openwork embroideries, the sewn pintucks, the handstitched buttonholes in contrasting colors, the smocking gatherings and the selvage hemlines.
Hand Block Printing is a traditional process of printing on textiles, with rich natural colors, has been practiced in Rajasthan for around 500 years. Block printing was introduced to the Jaipur region of Rajasthan by the Chhipa community. This community was originally located in Bagru Village, an area now famous for its vegetable dye and mud resist (dabu) block prints. The art of block printing has been passed down for generations within families and communities and has branched out in recent decades to other regions such as Sanganer, just South of Jaipur.
The Madras Checks is a plaid strongly associated with summer and bright staple colors. The fabric originated in the 12th century in Madraspatnam (now Channai), India, where it was traditionally worn as undergarment by the lower class. As mass production and export expanded, the fabric became known by different names in different cultures. In Africa the fabric was locally known as Injiri, «Real India». The traditional technique of weaving involves vegetable dyed yarn and hand-woven pit looms. Now «Madras Checks» has become a symbol of affluence and status.
Chikankaari is hand embroidery from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh India. Chikankari is white- on- white shadow embroidery that can be traced back to the Mughal period. It is believed to have originated in Persia.
When it comes to incorporating these bold and colorful Injiri pieces into your wardrobe, there are no rules: Play, mix and match.
Injiri designs are perfect for adding that special spring/summer rare jewel into your wardrobe. Let the authentic techniques of your Injiri pieces radiate color. Wear them with pride!

]]>Today, Moismont imagines a textile square: a Spring-Summer collection that celebrates plant life between two cultures, that of Picardy and that of Jaipur
Floral scents mingle, for an imaginary garden.
"The palette of the jam maker intersects with that of the Indian garden
Baked and gelled colors of strawberry, cherry and quince
Bloom with the freshness of purplish blues
Evoking the glassware of jars and the writing of dates"
The Indian floating garden is dressed in Ganges blue and carnation orange, the pink ocher colors of the walls of a temple in Jaipur. Intertwine in the weaves, for a textile tile, the checkerboard of the lid of the jar becomes a neckerchief.
The pattern of the apple weaves in the form of light jamdani. Prints inspired by pears, cherries, strawberries invite us to pick the scarves like well-ripened fruit
In a tree, where everything is beautiful and natural, like in this dream garden.
Fall in love with our Moismont selection. A label run by a French family, known for its premium scarves, shirts and tunics in gorgeous colors, all infused with ancestral know-how. As the weather starts to change, it can be tough to know what to wear. It's time to layer your outfits in a way that will keep you comfortable all season long... and what better way to do it than with the precious styling tips from our Luisa Rossi?
Lucky for you, Luisa put together a list of essential mid-season outfits that will keep you looking stylish all season long, as well as remaining as comfortable as possible at the same time. By now you all know, as Luisa explains in the video, the most important thing for By Adushka is to be able to identify yourself through your own style, but still remain comfortable.
A trend that was followed a lot last year, but which we are also seeing a lot of this season: Marlene Trousers, a floor-length design with a wide cut that sits slim on the hips. Luisa proposes the Parigi Pants from the By Adushka collection, entirely handmade in Treviso, Italy, available in different colours and made with two different fabrics (flannel and silk).
"It's almost like not wearing any trousers at all" says Luisa. A model that suits everyone, thanks to the presence of an elasticated waist. As the material is light, it is perfect for layered styles. Luisa completed this outfit with our white Turtleneck Sweater from By Adushka, a Vest by Elleremodelista and a jacket from our PalmHouse selection.
She completed the look with the Zoccoli from the Italian label Antidoti and some cool socks from Escuyer to create a perfect "OUTFIT À LA BY ADUSHKA".
Let's move to Luisa's favorite spring blouse: the Pia Shirt from The Label Edition's SS23 Collection. A romantic style checkered cotton shirt the comes with a matching removable lace and elastic cuffs.
The stylist wore it with the By Adushka's Parigi flannel Pants and a Blazer. This wonderful blouse, which besides being elegant is also extremely comfortable and super easy to wear, is also available in other versions. Check them out here.
Let's go with the third look: a must-have item of clothing in your mid-season wardrobe is this Twin Set by Phisique du Role. Update your looks with a sophisticated layering style with this bolero jacket made in Italy from recycled cashmere, a set that consists of a bandeau top and a cardigan that fastens with two central buttons. The fit of the cardigan is close to the body and the quality of the cashmere used will keep you warm on cold mid-seasonal days.
Last but not the least: silk is always synonymous with elegance. Luisa presents this kimono by Obidi made in Italy from Indian silk. Of course, it can be matched with black trousers, but why not give it an extra touch of colour with the Paris Pants from By Adushka in avio-coloured silk?
Sailing through the waves, towards exotic islands that tell romantic tales of sailors, mermaids and starry skies, the need for lightness is satisfied. Islands as a landing place for common fantasies, evoking unexpected adventures and seduction, always in the imagination as a sacred place where one can take refuge to find well-being and balance. Immersed in an ecological paradise of rare beauty enveloped in a protective and liberating silence in total harmony with nature, one is transported into the brand's new mood. The mood is holiday-like and we are immediately transported into the brand's new mood by the iconic silk twill prints.
The poetry of artistic designs is inspired by the 1970s. We find prints of all kinds: all-over prints with tropical palms, tourists on holiday, floral prints typical of the 70s, patterns reminiscent of the Mediterranean... they are worn as a fun and glamorous touch even under rigorous blazers."
We are pleased to present you the new Spring Summer 23 collection from the Italian brand Momonì, one of the first brands we welcomed into the By Adushka family. A fresh and light collection, made unique by its stunning prints and high quality fabrics, perfect to pack for your summer getaways. You will find clothes for every occasion and every taste.

She was incredibly stylish, always impeccably dressed and possessed a magical quality - a master seamstress, she made wonderful outfits for herself and her grandchildren. Billie is a homage to her - beautiful everyday dresses inspired by the 1970s and the grandmother of the designer vivacious spirit.
While speaking about Liberty, we are happy to introduce you to the label's Darcy Dresses, a garment dedicated to the designer daughter, Darcy, made from original Liberty fabric. Fall in love with this lovable handmade collection!

Anaak is a collection of artfully relaxed pieces crafted using only natural fibers and working with skilled artisans and their traditional textiles techniques —from hand block-printing to handwoven fabrics. Each piece is unique, hand crafted from hand-spinning natural fibers into yarn to weaving fabric by hand and foot. By referencing the rich cultural history of cherished destinations, we aim to mindfully produce clothing that imbues a stylish ease, for wherever the day takes you…
"About three hundred miles north of Delhi and just south of Tibet, the Ganges river begins what will be its circuitous route high in the Himalayas spilling forth from a glacier into the Bhagirathi headstream, then flowing for over 1,500 miles until it reaches the Bay of Bengal. Since ancient times the Ganges has been more than a natural phenom, it’s also long courted people to its shores. The Ganges of today is the most populated river basin in the world, relied on by more than a quarter of the 1.4 billion people who call India home.
Its waters are collected and bottled to be shipped and sold abroad; bathing in it is thought to absolve people of their sins; and distributing the ashes of the dead in the river is believed to bring good karma. The Ganges’ purification myth has never waned, even as the river has become one of the most polluted in the world, taking in more than a billion gallons of waste, much of it raw sewage, every day. The reverence of its beauty and power, and the simultaneous disregard of its degradation are a contradiction. The river, a mighty enigma.
Those enigmatic qualities drew us to its banks in Rishikesh, the holy city high in the foothills of the Himalayas that has long beckoned spiritual seekers to its myriad temples and ashrams. (The Beatles would visit the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi here in the 1960s.) Many who come to this part of the meandering river in India’s northern state of Uttarakhand do it also to find relief from the, often oppressive, heat further south. For Anaak this serene place and this storied river became our "tabula rasa": a chance to wipe the proverbial slate clean and begin anew.
This season that has meant a design approach that is more intentional than ever. Just as so many of us have spent these pandemic years shifting and shedding, Anaak has done the same, distilling styles down to the absolute essential. For Holiday 23 there is a juxtaposition of modernity and tradition: clean, airy silhouettes that reference Indian kurtas, dhoti pants and dupattas, all rendered in a muted palette and worked on by hand by weaving cooperatives in Central India and West Bengal. There are resolutely simple double cloth tunics and long shorts in soft white; smocked tea-length and mini dresses and ankle-grazing skirts in traditional jacquard Jamdani; Anaak’s signature silk habutai dresses in dusty lavender and sulphur; and—finally!—as we find ourselves socializing more, fittingly celebratory ruffled mini dresses and a woven tinsel-like tank dress. Designed to travel easily and layer effortlessly, this collection will be, like the river, a steady presence."
Anaak is for the seeker in all of us. We are because we wander. The open road, the ceaseless mountain peaks, the unbridled sea—this is where we find our truth. This is our bohemian rhapsody.
So come on, let's start with Luisa's tips for this season. With winter we all feel the need to wrap ourselves in warm and cuddly fabrics, but not only clothes, also blankets and scarves. THIS SEASON IT'S ALL ABOUT CUDDLES!
But By Adushka not only does this in clothing, it also does it in home decor by presenting a brand from Morocco that is truly unique. We are talking about Verre Terre et Fer, a brand that supplies these cuddly pure wool sheep that are now becoming a By Adushka 'symbol'. Stools in various sizes and models which are an undoubtedly unique touch to your favourite place to be: be it your home, your garden or your work space.
Speaking of soft materials, we cannot fail to mention the new Loungewear collection from By Adushka. Limitless cozy, warm and it fits perfectly to every style. The 'Cozy Knit' By Adushka Capsule collection is dedicated to all those who don't wear animal products, are allergic to wool or are lovers of ultra-soft knits. The garments are thick, but it's not a material that adds weight to you, explains Karin Kämpf the Designer of her own seamless Lounge Wear collection of the beautifully soft (and naturally stretchy) bouclé used for this capsule collection.
From clothes to shoes, Luisa offers you three different types of shoes by By Adushka. The watchword is: comfort. The first, belonging to the By Adushka collection, are a synonym for "good mood". We are speaking about the iconic Furry Slippers, much loved by our Karin, CEO and Founder of By Adushka. Anyone who knows her will think of her when they see these slippers. Made entirely by hand in an atelier in central Italy, they are a unique piece that will stay with you for many years. The quality of the sheep hair makes them soft and durable and the canarine yellow gives a touch of color to your outfit.
Then we have sandals that Luisa names 'Birkenstock a la By Adushka': the Montone Slippers are the ultimate loungewear shoe staple. And last but not the least, we have the Zoccoli from the Italian label Antidoti born from the skillful hands of Tuscan craftsmen and the stylistic collaboration of the designer Antonella Dotti. Materials and shapes are mixed to create clogs and sandals to make women's day more cheerful, to banish bad thoughts and melancholy. All the pieces are completely handmade in Italy, as are all the materials used in their creation, from wooden and rubber soles to sheepskin, velour and calfskin linings - a 100% Made in Italy brand.
From the baskets of By Adushka, to the vases of Verre Terre et Fer to the books of New Mags (obviously focused on sustainability, the main theme of By Adushka).
You all know that craftsmanship is at the heart of our philosophy and also of Luisa Rossi's, which is why it is with great pleasure that we want to tell you about Ofer: the antique bookbindery that proudly carries on the legacy of one of the most historical bookbinding workshop in Italy, a veritable institution for the field of traditional bookbinding and conservation restoration. It scrupulously follows traditional binding techniques and the items are all handmade, with needle, thread, rope, awls and paper folding - love in every detail
Style not only in objects, in clothes, but also below. 'Style down to the knickers,' says Luisa. She shows us Scarlette Atelier's pyjamas, lightweight and perfect for all year round. Luisa also recommends them as a great gift!
Speaking of coziness, we cannot fail to mention our Moismont futons... "You are mine darling" says Luisa! And of course our super cozy socks from Escuyer: the destination brand for anyone who appreciates well-crafted items.

With this article, we would like to introduce you to the new Fall Winter 2022 collection of our much-loved Indian brand Injiri: an explosion of colours, culture, fabrics and the highest quality.
"The Homeland FW22 celebrates the creative and artistic relationship between the artisans, their homes and the locally available natural resources. Within the diverse landscapes of India- from the desert to the oases, to the coast and sea- artisans have developed skills to meet functional and economic needs.
The crafts made through these skills show creative artistic expressions and aesthetics. Shared from generation to generation, they preserve not only the practical skills but also the shared social values associated with cultural identity.
There are times when life is so unforeseen that we forget what belongs to us. Still, a home is always something where we feel the authenticity and belongingness of something we always adorn. We all felt that sense of belongingness in our house, during the pandemic, residing inside day and night.
At once, we felt that authenticity with every object that a house is built with is somehow and somewhere connected with us. In essence, authenticity means embracing who we are at our core and acting according to our values.
Home has always been a gathering place, shelter, and sanctuary, providing an escape from the busyness and intrusiveness of the world. Much thought about, treasured, and longed for as an anchor of our existence, the home has been the subject of abundant written works and other cultural products.
Why is home so important to us, then? Because for better or worse, by presence or absence, it is a crucial point of reference-in for memory, feeling, and imagination-for inventing the story of ourselves, our life narrative, and for understanding our place in time. But it is also a vital link through which we connect with others and with the world and the universe at large."
Injiri, meaning “real India”, historically stands for “real Madras checkered textiles” which were exported to West Africa back in the 18th century. The brand believes in the beauty of hand-weaving processes, it is about story-telling, the end point is reflective of the journey of many processes. Injiri curates an aesthetic around absolute simplicity and working within the limitations of textile techniques and the focus is on textile development and sustainable usage of materials.
We are extremely happy to share with you another video from our friend and authentic Swiss stylist Luisa Rossi, who will show you the best sustainable autumn coats to invest in this season... and not only that, she will also give you some special tips on how best to match them for a unique look for every occasion.
During her long career as a stylist, Luisa was told a phrase that has always stuck in her head: an Italian designer once told her that a woman's style can be recognised by the coat she wears when she enters a room, and there is absolutely nothing more true. This is why Luisa decided to try on our coats, having fun matching them to her liking, find her styling tips below:
Embrace off-duty dressing with Momonì, an Italian label that is without doubt one of our best-sellers. This Flared Coat has reconstructed-effect dropped sleeves. It's made in chevron pattern shaggy-effect bouclé wool with a double-breasted design, patch pockets and peak lapels.
The slim line flares towards the hem, giving a flattering original twist to an everyday basic. Luisa combined it with Phisique du Role's Chestnut Over Blouse in crepe silk and the Large Trousers in double twisted wool. As this was a very homogeneous look, she then decided to assign an exclusive bag to this look, one that could give a touch of colour: the Elle Remodelista's Handwoven Green Bag.
Let's move on to a slightly less classic garment: a handcrafted masterpiece with a slightly ethno style that our Luisa fell in love with as soon as she saw it. Check it out clicking here.
Balia 8.22 is one of the latest brands to be added to the By Adushka family. It is an Italian label established with the aim of giving continuity to what the past generation has been able to build in half a century of history, specializing in particular in the design, manufacture and distribution of top quality trousers and skirts.
Behind this brand lies endless research into materials, so that they are of high quality and above all durable, and also into trends.
Luisa particularly likes this Coat, because as it does not have padded shoulders, it can be worn comfortably over a blazer. She, for example, wears it with the bright green Phisique du Role suit.
An absolute eye-catcher that you can wear in your everyday life!
Whether you pair it with a pair of jeans from our new brand B Sides with a simple T-Shirt or with a Blouse, the choice is yours. Either way, this garment will add a unique touch to your look.
Luisa also recommends this Coat from Momonì if you are looking for something classic, timeless but still with a touch of 'By Adushka'. This coat comes with handmade turquoise cuffs and a long matching scarf, which gives that extra touch to your outfit!
As you can guess from this article, By Adushka works with different brands from all over the world. Each of these unique labels has its own story that particularly fascinated us, which led us to select them, discover it all under the Designer section.
